Bespoke Commissions Terms

A bespoke commission follows consultation, design, approval, making, fitting and collection. We agree the scope, timescales and price with you before making begins.

We normally take a consultation deposit to begin design work, with the balance due at agreed stages or before collection. Deposits cover design time and materials that have been committed to your commission.

Each bespoke frame is made to your specification and is exempt from the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right under regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once we have begun work. If you cancel after work has started, we may retain a deposit proportionate to the design work and materials already committed. Your statutory rights for faulty goods are unaffected.

You approve the design before we make the frame. Once approved, changes may affect price and timescale, or may not be possible.

Minor fit adjustments after collection are included. Significant changes requested after approval may be chargeable.

Where a bespoke frame is glazed with prescription lenses, our Prescription Lenses & Glazing Terms also apply.

Your statutory rights apply. If a bespoke frame is faulty or not as agreed, we will put it right. Otherwise our liability for a commission is limited to the price of that commission, save for anything that cannot be excluded by law.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
