Lens Order Terms
Draft for early testing. To be reviewed before full public launch.
These terms apply to prescription lens orders and glazing through Eyewear Ltd.
1. Your prescription — You are responsible for providing a current, valid prescription and accurate measurements. We may ask you to verify your prescription before we proceed. We are not responsible for errors arising from an incorrect or out-of-date prescription you supply.
2. Made to your specification — Glazed and prescription lenses are made to your specification, which by law means they are not eligible for change-of-mind cancellation once we have begun making them. Your rights for faulty or incorrectly made lenses are unaffected.
3. Remakes and tolerances — Lenses are produced to recognised optical tolerances. If a lens is made incorrectly against your confirmed order, we will remake it.
4. Fitting — A correct fit depends on accurate measurements. We will advise on suitability where we can, but final responsibility for the chosen frame and prescription rests with you.
5. Not an eye examination — We do not provide sight tests or eye examinations, and our service is not a substitute for advice from a registered optometrist. Please keep your eye tests up to date.
6. Liability — We do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the value of the lens order.
7. Governing law — England and Wales.
