Course Terms
Draft for early testing. To be reviewed before full public launch.
These terms apply to bookings for our handmade eyewear courses and training.
1. Booking and payment — A place is confirmed once payment or the agreed deposit is received. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come basis.
2. Cancellation and rescheduling — Courses are booked for specific dates and places are strictly limited. Course payments and deposits are non-refundable, and we do not accept cancellations once a place is booked. As a dated, scheduled activity, a course is exempt from the standard 14-day online cooling-off right. If you are unable to attend, please let us know as early as possible; we may, at our discretion, allow you to transfer your place to another date, but we are not obliged to do so.
3. Changes or cancellation by us — If we have to change or cancel a date, we will offer an alternative date or a refund.
4. What is included — The course description sets out what is provided, including any materials.
5. Safety and suitability — Our courses involve workshop tools and machinery. You must follow all safety instructions, disclose any relevant health conditions, and meet any minimum age requirement we specify. We may refuse participation on safety grounds.
6. Conduct — We may ask anyone behaving unsafely or disruptively to leave, without refund.
7. Photography — We may take photographs or video during courses for our records and marketing; tell us in advance if you do not wish to appear.
8. Liability — We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the course fee.
9. Governing law — England and Wales.
