Maker Terms
Draft for early testing. To be reviewed before full public launch.
These Maker Terms apply to independent makers who apply to present and sell frames through the Eyewear Ltd marketplace. They sit alongside our main Terms and Conditions.
1. Applying and approval — You apply through our website. We review every maker and every product before publication. Approval is curated and not guaranteed, and we may decline, pause or remove a profile or listing at our discretion.
2. How sales work — Eyewear Ltd is the seller of record to the customer for every marketplace sale; the customer's contract is with us. You supply frames to us under these terms, in one of three ways: (a) we manufacture the frame for you, (b) you supply frames you already hold in stock, or (c) you make and ship the frame yourself. In every case Eyewear Ltd takes the customer's payment and remains the customer's point of contact.
3. Your responsibilities and warranties — You confirm that you own or have the rights to the designs, images and content you submit; that your frames are safe, lawful and of satisfactory quality; that your listings are accurate; and that you will fulfil orders promptly where you handle fulfilment.
4. Listings and brand — We may edit, reformat, hide or remove listings to protect quality, accuracy, safety, legal compliance or brand consistency.
5. Fulfilment — We agree with you who ships each order (you or Eyewear Ltd) and the dispatch timeframes. You provide accurate stock and lead-time information.
6. Commission and payment — We agree a commission on each sale. We collect the customer's payment and pay you the agreed amount, less commission and any agreed costs, on the agreed schedule. Pricing, commission and payout terms are confirmed with you before you go live.
7. Returns and faults — As seller of record we handle customer returns and faults. Where a return or fault relates to your product, you agree to support the resolution and to bear the cost of faulty or misdescribed items you supplied.
8. Liability and indemnity — You indemnify Eyewear Ltd against claims arising from your products, content or breach of these terms, including intellectual-property and product-safety claims.
9. Ending the arrangement — Either of us may end the arrangement on reasonable notice. Outstanding orders and payments will be honoured.
10. Governing law — These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
