For brands and opticians
Services · Manufacturing
Eyewear manufacturing in the UK, made in East London.
A working manufacturing house for brands, opticians, designers and startups who want their eyewear made in Britain instead of shipped in from abroad.
British acetate frame production
We manufacture handmade acetate eyewear from our East London workshop. Fronts and temples are CNC cut from block acetate, then heat formed, cored, riveted, tumbled and hand polished on the bench. Everything is made in one building by the same team that designed and set up the workshop.
Who it suits
- Independent eyewear brands who want their frames made in the UK
- Optical practices launching an in-house frame range
- Designers taking a first collection from drawing to a real product
- Established brands moving production closer to their market
How the process runs
- Step 01
Brief and feasibility
We look at the frame drawings, the materials in mind and the direction of the range, then flag anything that will affect making before it becomes a costly change.
- Step 02
Technical drawings
We work up production-ready drawings for each SKU: measurements, hinge choice, core position, edge details and finish.
- Step 03
Sample and approval
A physical sample is made from your production acetate so you can wear-test, check colour, fit and the finish before we commit to a run.
- Step 04
Production
Frames are CNC cut, heat formed, cored, riveted, tumbled and hand polished in our workshop. Quality is checked on the bench, not just at the end.
- Step 05
Finishing and delivery
Frames are labelled, boxed and prepared to your specification for delivery to your practice, distributor or fulfilment partner.
Order quantities and timelines are agreed per project, once the brief is confirmed.

Frequently asked
Questions we hear about eyewear manufacturing in the uk.
- Where are the frames made?
- Every frame is made in our workshop at 455 Wick Lane, One Dye House, Unit 3b, London E3 2TB.
- Are frames CNC cut or handmade?
- Both. Acetate is CNC cut for accuracy, then heat formed, cored, riveted and polished by hand at the bench.
- Do you handle prescription lenses too?
- Yes. Our glazing lab is in the same building, so frames can leave the workshop already glazed if you want them to.
- What quantities do you produce?
- Order quantities are agreed per project, once the brief and range are confirmed.
